This category brings together articles of the Encyclopedia of Nizhny Novgorod that include embedded video material: newsreels, documentary footage, television reports, and animation. Video helps show the city and the region in motion — the construction of the Avtozavodsky District in the 1950s, the look of Gorky across the Soviet decades, the natural setting of Svetloyar, or the animated film by Yuri Norstein based on the Nizhny Novgorod legend of the Kerzhenets River. Such material complements the text where words give way to living imagery.
