Yuri Pavlovich Balashov (born 28 October 1971, the village of Naruksovo, Pochinkovsky District, Gorky Oblast) is a Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneur and politician, a deputy of the Regional Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of the VI and VII convocations, a member of the "United Russia" faction, and general director and co-owner of the "Sadko" chain of dental clinics [1][3]. In the 2026 influence ranking of ZSNO deputies compiled by the news agency "Nizhny Seychas", he took sixth place, entering the "strong influence" group [2].

Biography

He was born on 28 October 1971 in the village of Naruksovo, Pochinkovsky District, Gorky Oblast. He graduated from Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University with degrees in "Computers, Systems and Networks" and "Economics and Enterprise Management" [1].

Since 2006 he has been general director of OOO "Sadko Dental Development Center" [1][5]. In 2016 he was elected a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of the VI convocation, and in 2021 he was re-elected to the VII convocation [1].

Outside parliament

Balashov owns a 50% stake in the "Sadko" chain of dental clinics; the company's revenue for 2023 was nearly 1 billion rubles (as of April 2024) [3].
