Stankevich Yury Arkadyevich (born July 24, 1976, Saratov) is a Russian state and political figure, a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation since 2021, and a member of the United Russia party. He is connected to the Nizhny Novgorod Region through his parliamentary work: in 2026, he ran in single-member constituency No. 131 in the region.[3]
Education and Career
Yury Stankevich holds three university degrees: in 1998 he graduated from the Military University with a specialization in "officer with higher military-specialist education (jurisprudence)"; in 2010 from the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation in finance and credit; and in 2016 from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas with an Executive MBA in "Oil and Gas Business Management: The Modern Executive."[3]
From 1993 to 2001 he served in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. From 2008 to 2021 he worked as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Concurrently, from 2013 to 2021, he held the position of Head of the Department for Relations with Federal Government Bodies and Public Organizations at PJSC LUKOIL.[3]
Political Activity
In 2002–2003 he served as an expert for the Political Directorate of the Central Executive Committee of the United Russia party. In 2008–2012 he served on the joint commission of the party's General Council and the RSPP on socioeconomic development issues. From 2011 to 2021 he was an aide to deputies of the State Duma of the 6th and 7th convocations.[3]
Since 2021 he has been a deputy of the State Duma of the 8th convocation. Since 2022 he has been the regional coordinator of the United Russia federal project "Green Economy." He serves on the State Duma Committee on Energy: in 2022, in particular, he commented on the use of the ASEZ (Advanced Special Economic Zone) instrument for nuclear territories, and in 2023 he participated in a field meeting of deputies in Ozyorsk dedicated to advanced development territories.[4]
Nizhny Novgorod Constituency
In the State Duma elections, held in a multi-day format and concluded on September 21, 2026, Yury Stankevich ran in single-member constituency No. 131 of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and, according to Central Election Commission data after processing 90 to 100 percent of the protocols, received the highest number of votes among the candidates in his constituency.[3] During the campaign he took part in discussions on housing and utilities issues, spoke at the Public Support Headquarters, and participated in sporting events in Sovetsky District.[3]
