Sorokin Vadim Nikolayevich (born June 13, 1956) is a Russian manager, president of GAZ Group since 2008. One of the key executives of the Nizhny Novgorod automotive industry, whose career has been tied to the region's largest automobile-manufacturing holding.
Career
Since 2008, Sorokin Vadim Nikolayevich has headed GAZ Group as its president. Under his leadership the holding has continued developing its line of light commercial vehicles and trucks produced at plants in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Recognition
For his contribution to the development of the automotive industry and the region's industry as a whole, Sorokin was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod Region. On August 12, 2026, chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma Yevgeny Chintsov and Shalabayev Yuri presented him with the certificate and insignia of Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod. The ceremony was held, as is traditional, on the eve of City Day — in the year of the 805th Anniversary Celebration of Nizhny Novgorod (2026).
