The Tsvety Microdistrict is a residential area in the Prioksky District of Nizhny Novgorod, located near Schelokovsky Khutor and the Botanical Garden. The development of the microdistrict is carried out, among others, by the construction company Stolitsa Nizhny; the addresses of the buildings are tied to Academician Sakharov Street.[6] In the 2020s the area continues to expand: in particular, the residential complex "PODKOVA. House on Tsvetochnaya," scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027, is being built on Tsvetochnaya Street near Schelokovsky Khutor.[1]

Location and Infrastructure

The microdistrict is located in an environmentally clean part of the Prioksky District: there are no large industrial enterprises nearby, while forest areas and lakes, the Botanical Garden, and Schelokovsky Khutor are within walking distance.[6] According to residents' reviews from early 2017, the buildings were distinguished by good-quality layouts and facades and ample parking, but the area suffered from a shortage of schools — the kindergarten was overcrowded — and utility bills turned out to be higher than average. In 2024, a four-lane road 2.5 km long was completed, linking three large residential complexes — Novaya Kuznechikha, Tsvety, and KM Ankudinovsky Park; the thoroughfare runs from Academician Sakharov Street to General Ivliev Street.

As of late 2024, the authorities were considering widening the section along Academician Sakharov Street and Ankudinovskoe Highway up to Polyarnaya Street to eliminate traffic jams: residents of the microdistrict complained that the single narrow road could not cope with the morning flow of cars. In September 2024, a new school building opened in the microdistrict, which further complicated the traffic situation in the surrounding blocks.[7][7][7][6]

Public Transportation

The Tsvety microdistrict is the terminus of several public transit routes. Bus No. 92 connects it with the Burnakovsky microdistrict, passing through Sovetskaya Square, Minin Square, and Pozharsky Street, the Moscow Railway Station, and the Burnakovskaya metro station.[5] The route has stops at Tsvetochnaya Street, Academician Sakharov Street, the cardiology center, Sovetskaya Square, and other socially significant points.[2]

Starting July 1 (the source does not state the year precisely), the electric bus Route E-6 "Tsvety Microdistrict — 4th Nagorny Microdistrict" was launched in Nizhny Novgorod. The route was set up with scheduled service by two electric buses, with their number to be increased as Nizhegorodelektrotrans recruits more staff. The new route is intended to improve the microdistrict's connection with Polyclinic No. 30, the diagnostic center, the Zhar-Ptitsa shopping center, and the transport interchange hub at Sovetskaya Square.[4]

In addition, the Tsvety microdistrict was part of a network of seasonal night bus routes: Route No. 180 ran from ZKPD-4 to the Tsvety microdistrict, linking residential areas with nighttime strolling destinations.
