Komsomolsky is a residential microdistrict in the Sormovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod, located near Svetloyarskoye Lake. In the 2020s, the microdistrict's territory has been actively built up with new comfort-class residential buildings.[2]
Location and Infrastructure
The microdistrict is located in the Sormovsky District of the city. The nearest metro station is "Burevestnik." Schools, kindergartens, shops, a market, and a clinic are within walking distance. Lake Svetloyarskoye is a ten-minute walk from the microdistrict.[3]
New Construction
The Komsomolsky residential complex, which includes several buildings, is under construction in the microdistrict. Building No. 6 is an 18-story monolithic-brick building with 149 apartments (1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom), due for completion in the first quarter of 2028. The building has two elevators, "Bely Klyuch" pre-finish interior work, and 2.7 m ceilings.[2] In addition, the Gorky residential complex, a business-lite class development, is being built on Pravdy Street, with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2028.[1]
Transportation
The microdistrict is connected to the central part of the city by a number of bus routes. In particular, bus No. 160 runs from the Komsomolsky microdistrict to the Park Kultury metro station.[*]
The route operates at night, from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and runs along Geroya Sutyrina and Kominterna Streets, Burnakovskaya and Proletarskaya Streets, across the Kanavinsky Bridge, along the Nizhne-Volzhskaya Embankment, through Minin Square, along Gorky Street, the Oka Descent, and Komsomolskaya Square, with a detour onto Golubeva and Baumana Streets, and then along Lenin, Kirov, and Oktyabr Avenues.[5]
