A. O. Molev Secondary School is a municipal budgetary general education institution in Dzerzhinsk, which opened on September 1, 2026. Construction was carried out under the national project "Education" (succeeded by the national project "Youth and Children"). The school is designed for more than 1,100 students, including 122 first-graders.[1]
Building and infrastructure
The total area of the school building is 23,800 sq. m. It houses 44 classrooms, large and small gymnasiums, an assembly hall, a canteen, a medical office, and a library. The surrounding grounds include a sports and recreation zone and a utility zone, as well as play and leisure areas. Next to the school is a swimming pool with two pools — one for swimming and one for teaching swimming; the school and pool buildings are connected by a heated walkway. Every floor has separate restrooms for people with limited mobility, ramps are installed at the entrances, and the buildings are equipped with elevators.[1]
Construction and opening
The client and general contractor for the construction was the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. On August 18, 2026, together with the Dzerzhinsk city administration it organized a tour for more than 80 parents of future students: they were shown classrooms and specialized rooms, the gymnasium and assembly hall, and the swimming pool. Igor Ishchenko, general director of the Development Corporation, confirmed the facility's readiness to receive children.[1]
Dzerzhinsk head Mikhail Klinkov called the school's opening "a landmark stage in the development of education in Dzerzhinsk" and noted that construction had not been easy and was completed thanks to the support of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the work of the Development Corporation's team, and the cooperation between the city administration and the body of deputies. Classes began on September 1, 2026.[1]
