A. O. Molev Secondary School in Dzerzhinsk was readied to receive students by August 2026: on August 18 the building was shown to the parents of future pupils, and classes began on September 1.[1][2]
The School
The school is designed for more than 1,100 students, including 122 first-graders; the building's total area is 23,800 square meters. Parents were shown the general-education and specialized classrooms, the gymnasium, the assembly hall, and the swimming pool.[1][2]
Construction was carried out under the national project "Education," whose successor became the project "Youth and Children." The client and general contractor was the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region; together with the city administration, it organized a tour for more than eighty parents.[2]
Assessments
The Corporation's general director, Igor Ischenko, stated that the school was fully ready to receive students in the new school year. The head of Dzerzhinsk, Mikhail Klinkov, called the school's opening a landmark stage in the development of the city's education and recalled that its construction had not been easy.[1][2]
The school is named after Aleksandr Osipovich Molev, a ground-attack pilot and Hero of the Soviet Union who grew up in Dzerzhinsk.[2]
