Presentation of the design of the main academic building of the Neimark IT Campus was a public showing of the architectural project that took place on October 29, 2026. The occasion was an official announcement by the State Construction Supervision Inspectorate of Nizhny Novgorod Region that a scheduled inspection of the building under construction had been completed in September 2026.[1] The building is being erected as part of the inter-university Neimark IT Campus on Dalnyaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod.[2]
Building specifications
The site under the building covers almost 4.5 hectares.[1] According to the design, the building consists of several blocks connected by a single-story gallery.[2] The building is to include lecture halls, computer labs, study spaces for students, staff offices and administrative offices, an assembly hall, dining halls with kitchens, an archive, and rooms for working with documents.[1] The building is designed to hold 2,850 people at one time.[2]
Progress of construction
According to the State Construction Supervision Inspectorate, at the time of the September 2026 inspection, work at the site included installing the pile foundation of the building, engineering protection of the territory, erecting a tower crane, and laying foundation slabs.[1]
Construction of the entire campus is divided into five stages. The first has been completed: in 2025, 18 student dormitory buildings were put into operation on Bolshie Ovragi Street.[2] At the same time, three more buildings are under construction on Gagarin Avenue near Lobachevsky University — two hotels for students and instructors, and an academic building with a sports and fitness complex and a conference center.[1]
