Neimark IT Campus is an interuniversity educational complex of world-class standard in Nizhny Novgorod, construction of which began in the spring of 2023. The first stage was completed in 2025; the opening of the second phase is planned for 2025–2026.
Structure and location
The project is designed for two sites. The first is located in the area of Bolshiye Ovragi Street, where, as part of the first stage, 18 buildings have been erected for more than 1,300 students. The second site is on the grounds of Lobachevsky University: it envisions two buildings for 4,000 people and an educational building with a physical education and wellness block.
Education and partners
Training is conducted in five areas together with partner universities: the Higher School of Economics, NSTU, UNN, and NNGASU. NNGASU is one of the campus's five core partner universities. In February 2024, the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Higher School of Economics and Neimark signed an agreement to establish the first networked higher-education program — "Technologies of Artificial and Augmented Intelligence"; the bachelor's program is run on the basis of the Higher School of Economics, and graduates receive a joint diploma from all participants in the educational program.
Role in the development of the region's IT sector
The campus is regarded as a key infrastructure project of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. According to Governor Gleb Nikitin, the region ranks first in the country for the effectiveness of its support for the IT sector and has held third place in Russia for the fourth year running in software development and ICT-services export volumes — behind only Moscow and St. Petersburg.
