ANO "Gorky Tech" is an autonomous non-profit organization operating in Nizhny Novgorod as a regional center for the support and coordination of domestic digital technologies and developers. It was registered on April 6, 2020.[2] Its original name was "Regional Center for the Coordination of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology Projects 'Gorky'"; it was subsequently renamed to its current form.[2] The organization is included in Russia's registry of accredited IT companies.[5]
Activities
The organization positions itself as an infrastructure operator of the IT ecosystem of Nizhny Novgorod Region: it supports the growth of IT companies, attracts specialists, and develops digital infrastructure for business.[1] Key areas of focus include an IT marketplace (the platform it-marketplace.ru), a chatbot covering business support measures, a digital audit service for manufacturing facilities, and the journal Kod Gorkogo ("Gorky Code"). By September 2026, the digital audit service had covered 23 industrial and agricultural enterprises in Nizhny Novgorod Region; on the basis of those audits, the organization selects technological solutions tailored to each enterprise's specific needs. In particular, following an audit of Doza-Agro LLC, a prototype MES system was developed jointly with Kvarts and put into pilot deployment.[7][1]
The organization regularly hosts industry events: webinars on automation and artificial intelligence, closed sessions for business owners and industrial enterprise managers, and investment sessions — including "Invest Fest" in December 2025, held with support from MTS StartUp Hub and the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan — as well as the professional development program "Leaders of Digital Transformation in Manufacturing" run jointly with KUPNO.[3] Events are held with support from the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The industrial digitalization program for Nizhny Novgorod Region, in which ANO "Gorky Tech" participates, was presented at the strategic session "Digital Solutions for Business," attended by approximately 150 representatives of industrial enterprises and IT companies from the region.
As part of the digitalization program, a registry of digital solutions has been compiled for the region, comprising more than 150 vetted IT companies with relevant case studies; before inclusion in the registry, companies undergo individual interviews and an assessment of their product and implementation experience.[8] Within the framework of the industrial digitalization program, in 2026 more than 400 specialists from the region's industrial enterprises took part in ANO "Gorky Tech" webinars dedicated to the capabilities of digital technologies and tools for applying them in production processes.[7][3]
In 2026, the organization, together with ANO "Project Office for the Development Strategy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," AVM Technology, and Neymark University, developed "NEYMARK. Digital Universe" — Russia's first metaverse featuring educational programs adapted for virtual reality. The project is hosted at the inter-university student IT center of the Neymark campus.[4]
