The Wildberries warehouse in the Novinki (settlement) is a logistics complex whose construction permit was issued by the Ministry of Construction of Nizhny Novgorod Region on July 24, 2026. The developer is OOO "RVB," a division of the combined Wildberries Russ company. The project became the subject of a sharp public conflict: residents of the adjacent Oksky Bereg (residential complex) in the Novinki district of Nizhny Novgorod came out against its construction.

Project parameters

The logistics hub, covering roughly 150,000 square meters, is planned for an undeveloped site within the boundaries of Parkovaya, Vysokaya, and Poletnaya streets.[2][3] The project is being carried out under an integrated territory development (KRT) agreement. OOO "RVB" won the right to develop the site as the sole participant in the auction, paying 127 million rubles for the KRT agreement.[2] Under the terms of the agreement, the minimum investment volume will be about 12 billion rubles.[2][3] Construction is planned to be completed by the end of 2027.[2] Preparatory work began in late 2025.[1]

Nizhny Novgorod authorities justify the choice of site by its convenient transport location — proximity to the R-158 highway and the future Gagarin Avenue Bypass Road.[2][3] The creation of new jobs was cited as a condition for receiving federal funds to lay utility networks in Novinki.[2]

Public conflict

Residents of "Oksky Bereg" turned out en masse against the construction. According to them, the warehouse will be located 50 meters from residential buildings and 70 meters from a school.[4] Opponents of the project point out that the site was originally designated for green space and housing, and fear increased truck traffic and worsening environmental and road conditions.[2][3]

Residents of Nizhny Novgorod to Russian President Vladimir Putin and to the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.[3] In June 2026, residents appealed to the president again.[1] Amid the protests, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of negligence connected with the plans to build the logistics center.[2][3] In late July 2026, a court dismissed a class action lawsuit by residents challenging the legality of the zoning change; the plaintiffs stated their intention to appeal.[2][3]
