The Ministry of Internal Regional and Municipal Policy of Nizhny Novgorod Region is an executive body of state authority of Nizhny Novgorod Region, responsible for exercising state powers in the sphere of internal regional and municipal policy. The Ministry oversees interaction with local self-government bodies, the development of civil society institutions, and the implementation of state national and information policy on the territory of Nizhny Novgorod Region.[4] Registered on March 6, 2019.[1] Located at: Nizhny Novgorod, Kremlin, Building 2.[3]
Powers
The Ministry is a regional executive authority body and implements state policy in the field of internal regional and municipal policy. In particular, it represents the interests of the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region in judicial and other proceedings related to the implementation of regional programs and contracts in this sphere.[3] Its principal activity under OKVED is the activity of state authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation (code 84.11.21).[1]
Authority
The Ministry is headed by Pavel Konstantinovich Karasev, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region.[3] The First Deputy Minister is Aleksey Ivanovich Simonov. Deputy Ministers are Nikolay Viktorovich Kostyukovich, Dmitry Aleksandrovich Grachev, and Timur Nikolaevich Belinskiy, who also holds the position of Head of the Public Policy Department.[3]
