Kozlov Vasily Dorofeyevich (born December 28, 1948) — academic director of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the State University – Higher School of Economics since 2001, general director of NRFPK (Nizhny Novgorod Regional Fund for Training Financial and Management Personnel), held concurrently. Professor, Doctor of Economic Sciences.

Education

Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (1972), electromechanical engineer; postgraduate studies at the Leningrad Institute of Engineering and Economics (1977); doctoral studies at the Academy of Social Sciences (1991).

Previous places of work

1972–1979 — senior engineer, deputy head, head of the equipment and capital construction department at the Sormovo CHPP (combined heat and power plant); 1979–1981 — head of the industry department of the Sormovo district committee of the CPSU; 1981–1992 — Volga-Vyatka Academy of Public Administration, senior lecturer, head of the department of marketing and management; 1992–1995 — deputy Governor, director of the department of economics and forecasting of the regional administration; 1995–2001 — general director of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Fund for Training Financial and Management Personnel.

Research interests

Business education, management, organizational behavior, cross-cultural research, corporate culture.

More than one hundred articles in scholarly journals and in collections of abstracts and proceedings of scholarly conferences (including international ones) on the topics of research conducted from 1975 to 1998. Monographs: "The Brigade Effect", "Progressive Forms of Organizing Labor Incentives", "Managing Organizational Culture", "Encyclopedia of the Market Economy" (co-authored), "Nizhny Novgorod Prologue" (co-authored), "Nizhny Novgorod Region: Economic and Cultural Potential" (co-authored). A monograph, "State Support for Small Business: World Experience for Russia", has been prepared for publication. Chairman of the editorial board of the weekly "Birzha Plus Kariera" ("Exchange Plus Career").
