The "Valday" is a low-frame city truck made by the Gorky Automobile Plant, filling the niche between the one-and-a-half-ton GAZelle" and medium-tonnage trucks. It has been produced since 2004; the current generation is the "Valday NEXT."[1][2]
What the truck is for
A low frame and moderate payload made the "Valday" convenient for city delivery work: manual loading without a ramp, and the maneuverability to get into courtyards and parking lots normally accessible only to passenger vehicles.[1]
Valday NEXT
The current generation is fitted with a six-speed gearbox and a 2.8-liter Cummins diesel engine producing 131 hp; the truck's gross weight is 7 tonnes with a payload capacity of 3,700 kg.[2]
