Sergei Vladimirovich Norenkov (born July 3, 1950) is a professor of the Department of Architectural Design at the Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and a Doctor of Philosophical Sciences.

Main areas of scholarly activity

Architectonics of synarchy, architectural design of the urban environment. Author of 130 publications, including 4 monographs, 9 teaching and methodological works, and 117 scholarly works used in pedagogical and architectural-construction practice. Under the scholarly supervision of S.V. Norenkov, 8 candidate dissertations have been defended in the specialties of social philosophy, theory and history of culture, and theory and history of architecture.

Membership in scholarly and public organizations

Academician and academic secretary of the International Academy of Investment and Construction Economics (MAIES). Member of the editorial board of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of MAIES. One of the founders and a member of the board of directors of the Union of Nizhny Novgorod Builders (SNS), and executive director of SNS in 2003-2007. Member of the academic council of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning (IAG) of the Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (NNGASU), chairman of the commission for the socio-economic development of NNGASU, member of the presidium of the NNGASU trade union committee, and chairman of the trade union organization of IAG. Expert and member of a number of commissions of the state environmental impact assessment since 1999. Director of LLC Engineering Center "Stroyinform" since 2000. Director of LLC "SinARKhiya" since 2006.

Awards

Certificate of Honor from the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Nizhny Novgorod Region for active participation in the work of the public organization "Union of Nizhny Novgorod Builders" as executive director (2004). At the XIII International Festival "Zodchestvo - 2005" (a review of the best architectural works of 2003-2005), the creative team of the Engineering Center "Stroyinform," led by S.V. Norenkov, was awarded a Certificate of the Union of Architects of the Russian Federation for the reconstruction of Revolution Square and the implementation of the project for the administrative and shopping complex Respublika Shopping Centre" in the city of Nizhny Novgorod.
