Sergey Viktorovich Dresvyannikov (born July 9, 1979, Gorky) is a Nizhny Novgorod culturologist, photographer, and HR consultant. He is a co-author of the concept and developer of Encyclopedia of Nizhny Novgorod, co-founder of the autonomous non-profit organization "Open Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia," and producer of the project. He is the founder of "Nizhny Novgorod Chronicles" and "Liescience"[1][2], and the head of the Nizhny Novgorod School of Socionics. His urban chronicle photographs from the 2000s and 2010s have been used across dozens of encyclopedia articles.
"Nizhny Novgorod Chronicles"
The project began as a public investigations group on the portal nnov.ru: at the address cron.nnov.org, analyses of contentious local issues were published — infill construction at the intersection of Kovalikhinsky and Semashko Streets, the felling of trees in the park on Freedom Square, an attempt to seize allotment gardens[2]. It was run by Dresvyannikov together with historian Petr Kuznetsov.
Before going public, the team worked in a closed mode and monitored regional memes — stable units of information from which a structure of regional meanings was to be assembled. The encyclopedia grew out of this work.
"Liescience" and the "Institute of Liescience"
On October 11, 2004, Dresvyannikov, together with A. P. Akchurin and P. A. Kuznetsov, founded "Liescience" in Nizhny Novgorod — the website liescience.org, which its authors declared to be not a web resource but an independent academic discipline[3].
In January 2005, he told the REGNUM news agency that four enthusiasts were registering a non-profit organization, the "Institute of Liescience," to study techniques of lying and public opinion manipulation[1]. The project later took the form of a culturological performance, of which Dresvyannikov remained creative director.

Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia
On April 30, 2010, at the Nizhny Novgorod Press Club discussion "Mass Media. Images of the Future," held aboard the river cruiser Georgy Zhukov, the editorial team of the ANO "Open Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia" announced the launch of the project. Dresvyannikov presented it alongside Petr Kuznetsov and entrepreneur Ilya Osipov[4]; details of that day can be found in the article "Opening of the Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia".
Six months later, the encyclopedia made its debut at the "Russia United" forum and began connecting experts in the far corners of the region. Dresvyannikov articulated the concept in the same way he had built the "Chronicles": a regional wiki should not retell reference books but gather what is alive.
The task of a regional wiki is to reflect what is living in the life of the region within a single publicly accessible body of information, to reveal its coordinating meanings — which is why our articles begin with the section "Essence of the Phenomenon" — and to identify effectively operating clusters: communities, institutions, simply skilled people, patriots of their land
Photographer of the city chronicle
He photographed Nizhny Novgorod for two decades, and his shots became illustrations for the encyclopedia's articles: the first inauguration of Vadim Bulavinov, at which Boris Nemtsov presents the new mayor with a barbell; Epiphany at Svetloyar; Rozhdestvenskaya as it looks today; a reenactment of the opening of the city water supply featuring Baron Delvig; a meeting between Viktor Shenderovich (listed as a foreign agent) and Nizhny Novgorod journalists; a discussion of a monument to Cheburashka, with Oleg Kondrashov sitting beside Eduard Uspensky; a press conference by Oleg Sorokin.
The Socionics School and personnel work
He heads the Nizhny Novgorod School of Socionics, which has applied socionics to questions of social adaptation among residents of the region and uses a holistic approach to individual potential based on mythodesign as developed by A. Ulyanovskiy. The school offers personnel management services, training sessions and presentations, consulting for enterprise managers, and instruction for private individuals.
He developed an integral method for assessing and forecasting competencies on the basis of published personal data — that is, whatever a person has left about themselves in the public domain.
"Career Formula"
Since 2015 he has run a practice under the brand "Career Formula": personal consultations on career, relationships, and relocation; individual masterclasses; in-person and online instruction. The courses are called "Formula of Strength and Happiness" and "Concord Analysis"; separate summer schools and professional development courses are also offered[5]. His reputation in this field was made by a comprehensive method for interpreting dispositor chains by exaltation, which gave the entire practice its name.
"Rozhdestvenskaya Side"
In 2011, he published and annotated the concept for the development project of the "Rozhdestvenskaya Side" territory, along with its appendices — working documents that would otherwise have remained in internal correspondence.
On Nizhny Novgorod forums
On NN.RU he has been known since 2002 under the name "Mys'" — profile no. 2598, status "trusted", privileged user of the eighth level, community "Human Development"[6].
His hobbies are photography and yachting.
Viktor Shenderovich has been entered into the register of foreign agents by decision of the Ministry of Justice of Russia dated 30 December 2021, under Article 6 of the Law of the Russian Federation "On Mass Media"[7].
