"Poslesloviye": Thirty Years on Live Television

The first episode of "Poslesloviye. Sobytiya Nedeli" ("Postscript. Events of the Week") aired on Volga in September 1994, and since then the programme has had one author and host [2][8]. It is an hour-long programme covering the week's main events: reports, investigative journalism, analysis, editorial commentary, and expert assessments. The programme airs live on Saturdays at 18:00 and operates in an interactive format — with a viewer poll on the main topic; repeats run on Sunday and Monday [2][8]. The main material is prepared by Rezontov together with Irina Kroshkina and Aleksandr Bykov [8].

In September 2024 the programme marked its thirtieth anniversary. The anniversary episode was broadcast by the joint editorial team of the Volga, NNTV, and Volga 24 television channels; "Poslesloviye" aired on Volga, OTR, and Volga 24 [2].

The viewer poll has more than once become part of discussions on civic topics. In September 2006 an episode examined the threat of Raising the Cheboksary Reservoir Level: more than half of the interactive poll participants placed responsibility on the federal government and energy companies [10]. In January 2022, discussing the QR-code bill, Rezontov cited a Volga poll in which the majority of viewers expressed opposition to QR codes on public transport [11].

For 30 years now, this news-analysis and current-affairs programme has aired weekly on live television.

Since 2022 he has served on the Public Chamber of Nizhny Novgorod Region [1].

He heads the "New Personnel" project, run by the television channels NNTV, Volga, and Volga 24 as a continuation of the Television Mastery School named after Nina Zvereva and Mikhail Sladkov: a one-month masterclass followed by a one-month internship; in spring 2026 the course was training television journalists and presenters for Volga 24 [13].

As an academician of Russian Television, he comments on public affairs for Nizhegorodskaya Pravda. In May 2020, when the Immortal Regiment march took place online, he urged people to congratulate veterans remotely [14]. In July 2021 he called the new rules for media accreditation at elections reasonable and proposed giving accredited journalists regulated access to the data-processing centers for electronic voting [15]. In January 2022 he supported the decision to postpone the QR-code bill: at mass events, in theaters, and at cinemas they are appropriate, but on public transport they are not [11].

In March 2025 Rezontov paid tribute to Andrey Panov — a graduate of Volga and cameraman on the program Ekipazh (Crew), who was killed in the combat zone in the Lugansk People's Republic — and expressed his condolences to Panov's family [16].
