"Normanochka" is a women's futsal club from Nizhny Novgorod, founded in 2018 and part of the structure of the Torpedo futsal club (formerly Orgkhim). A two-time Russian champion and two-time winner of the national cup, it competes in the women's Higher League.[2]
History
The women's team was created in 2018 within the system of the Nizhny Novgorod futsal club Orgkhim (later renamed Torpedo). In its very first season, Normanochka competed in the amateur regional championship and won the gold medals. At the same time, the club took part in the First League, the second-tier Russian division, where it finished seventh in the 2018/19 season.[2]
In 2019, the club received professional status and a place in the top Russian division of women's futsal. Its Higher League debut was a success: the team won the silver medals of the championship. In 2021 and 2022, Normanochka became Russian champion two years in a row. In the 2021/22 season, in addition to the championship title, the club also won the national cup, completing a "golden double." The following season the cup was defended, but in the championship playoff final Normanochka lost to St. Petersburg's Kristall and had to settle for silver.[2]
Home arena
Normanochka plays its home matches at the Meshchersky sports and recreation complex (Meshchersky), which seats more than 700 spectators, the same venue used by Torpedo's main team. On September 19, 2026, Normanochka hosted St. Petersburg's Kristall at the Meshchersky complex in the match for the women's Russian Super Cup: the game ended in a 1–3 defeat for the Nizhny Novgorod side, with Sadakova scoring Normanochka's only goal. In October 2026, Normanochka routed Bryansk's Spartak 9–0 in a home match. In the first two rounds of the 2026/27 Russian championship, the team beat Yekaterinburg's VIZ-Sinara twice, and on October 23, 2026, in an away match at the Turgenev Oryol State University arena in Oryol, it defeated OrelGU-KPRF 7–3.[6][5][4][2]
