On August 18, 2022, a vacated wooden house of about 400 square meters caught fire on Nizhegorodskaya Street. The fire spread to the neighboring building — the tenement house of merchant I. I. Gurov (an architectural monument of regional significance), as a result of which the cultural heritage site sustained damage.
