Merchant I. I. Gurov's apartment house is a building constructed in 1901–1902 in the historic center of Nizhny Novgorod at the address: 9 Nizhegorodskaya Street. It is an Object IP of cultural heritage of regional significance.[1]
History and architectural status
The building was erected in 1901–1902 and is among the protected Architectural Monuments of Nizhny Novgorod of Nizhny Novgorod.[1] The building is managed by OOO "GUD".[1]
On August 18, 2022, a vacated wooden house of about 400 square meters caught fire on Nizhegorodskaya Street. The fire spread to the adjacent building — merchant I. I. Gurov's apartment house — and as a result the architectural landmark sustained damage.[2]
Repair and emergency stabilization works
Repairs to the cultural heritage site had been planned back in 2023, but the work began later.[1] In August 2024, a notice was posted on the public procurement portal announcing repairs to the building's roof and facade, along with emergency stabilization works. The customer was OOO "GUD". The initial (maximum) contract price was 28.48 million rubles; the funding source was a subsidy allocated under a City Hall. Selection of the contractor through a competitive procedure was scheduled for August 22, 2024, with completion of the work due by December 16 of the same year.[1]
