Mikhaleninsky selsoviet is an administrative-territorial unit within Varnavinsky District) of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The selsoviet includes a number of rural settlements within the territory of Varnavinsky Okrug.
Abolition of settlements
In 2026, within Mikhaleninsky selsoviet, a decision was made to abolish the rural settlement of Yelevaya Zavod. The corresponding law, signed by Gleb Nikitin in August 2026, took effect on January 1, 2027. The grounds for the abolition were the long-standing absence of registered residents and of real estate owned by individuals or legal entities; according to available information, the last local resident died more than twenty years ago. The documents on abolition were approved by deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in July 2026 and published on the official portal of legal acts.
