23 years of activity

The Kondor film studio (film company) is a Nizhny Novgorod film company that grew out of the amateur film studio of Alexander Kondratenko. It specializes in showcasing techniques of Eastern martial arts and situations involving their large-scale use.

Head: Alexander Kondratenko, chief director.

History

Today the film company is a group of specialists in filming, editing, computer effects, and stunt scenes, with extensive capabilities for producing film, video, and photo content.

Besides non-commercial films as such, "Kondor" also shoots music videos and documentaries; its clients have included organizations such as NIZHFARM, the Sormovo Thermal Power Plant, the Vnevedomstvennaya Okhrana (Non-Departmental Security), the Nizhny Novgorod College of Economics and Law, the "LAD" firm, the Bor Bus Company (Borskaya Avtokolonna), the "Modessa" store, the "Vizard" club, the Floating Hotel, shopping centers, district and regional administrations, advertising agencies, theater and stage performers, and many others; it regularly appears in newspapers, magazines, and various TV and radio programs.

Company news

In the spring of 2012, the Kondor film studio released a new film, "Lishniye" (The Odd Ones). Genre — crime drama. Although the film has almost no professional actors, it was well received by audiences. The rights to broadcast the film were acquired by several Russian television companies for a long term. Negotiations are currently underway for wide theatrical release in Russia and Belarus.

In the fall-winter of 2013, the film company's new movie "Katharsis" will be released. The film's action takes place in the North Caucasus. In 2013 the company is also busy filming a new feature film, "Happy Victory Day!" The film is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. It stars well-known theater and film actors from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, and the USA. The action takes place in the present day and tells about the lives of veterans and young people's attitudes toward them. The mysterious and mystical story is, to some extent, a prequel to the film "Katharsis".
