"Craft Gallery" (full name includes the abbreviation NOORPRK) is a trade union organization of masters of decorative and applied art and folk arts and crafts of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, operating since at least the early 2000s. It unites Nizhny Novgorod folk-craft masters and artists working in various applied-art techniques.[1]
Organizational structure
The structure of "Craft Gallery" includes an art council and a trade union committee of masters. The position of chairman of the art council was held by wood carver Igor Nikolaevich Frolov.[2] The position of deputy chairman of the trade union committee was held by master of decorative embroidery Vasilyeva Tatyana Aleksandrovna.[1] According to the Frolov family's creative workshop, the trade union was founded in 2001 on Frolov's initiative as the first professional trade union of decorative and applied art masters in Russia; Frolov himself was chairman of the trade union until 2006, and headed the art council from 2006 to 2015.[2]
