The drone attack on Nizhny Novgorod Region on 11 September 2026 was a strike by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against the region's territory, carried out during the night of 10–11 September 2026. All 51 drones were intercepted and destroyed; according to preliminary reports, there were no casualties. The fall of debris from the downed drones caused property damage in Dzerzhinsk.
Repelling the strike
The attack by 51 UAVs was repelled by the joint forces of the Ministry of Defence, the Rosgvardiya, and the volunteer unit "Bars NN".[1] Regional head Gleb Nikitin reported on the night's outcome in his MAX channel.[1] According to preliminary data, there were no casualties among civilians.[2]
Aftermath
The fall of debris from the downed drones caused damage in Dzerzhinsk: multi-apartment and private residential buildings, vehicles, and other property were affected.[1] Governor Gleb Nikitin stated that damage assessment was ongoing and that emergency services were working at the incident sites.[1] Nikitin promised to provide the necessary assistance and support to residents whose property was damaged as a result of the attack.[2]
