Panchenkov Anatoly Nikolaevich (born March 1, 1935) — professor of the Department of "Dynamics, Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials" at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev named after R.E. Alekseev, Doctor of Technical Sciences.

1958-1960 — engineer at the Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Ships (TsKB po SPK). 1960-1968 — Institute of Hydrodynamics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (Kyiv): rose from postgraduate student to deputy director of the institute, defended his candidate's and doctoral dissertations; in 1968-1983 he worked in Irkutsk at the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences and at Irkutsk State University as head of laboratory and head of department. From 1983 to 1989 - head of the Department of Hydrodynamics at the Gorky Polytechnic Institute. Since 1999 - professor of the Department of "Dynamics, Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials" at NSTU.
Main facts of his career
In Irkutsk he was actively engaged in the theoretical and practical problems of ekranoplan (ground-effect vehicle) construction. A group under his leadership designed and built the ADP series of ekranoplans, known both in Russia and abroad. A well-known scientist in the field of hydrodynamics, he has developed a number of original scientific theories, and is the author of 12 inventions and 15 scientific monographs, including 4 on fundamental problems of modern natural science. He has trained 35 candidates of science, and among his students are 6 professors. He is a full member of the Russian Engineering Academy and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
