Belozerov Alexey Ivanovich (born January 14, 1923) — vice-rector for academic affairs of the Gorky Polytechnic Institute (1975-1988), dean of the shipbuilding faculty (1962-1975). Participant in the Great Patriotic War, 1941-1945.

Key facts of his career
From 1942 to 1947 he served in the ranks of the Red Army. In 1953 he graduated with honors from the shipbuilding faculty of the Gorky Polytechnic Institute. While a student he was secretary of the Komsomol committee. From 1953 to 1954 he worked as a construction engineer at the "Krasnoye Sormovo (disambiguation)" plant. From 1954 to 1957 he studied in postgraduate school. From 1957 he began working at the Gorky Polytechnic Institute at the Department of Ship Theory and Structural Mechanics. In 1961 he defended his candidate's dissertation. From 1959 to 1962 he was secretary of the institute's party committee. From 1988 until his retirement in 2005 he worked as a professor at the Department of Ship Structural Mechanics and Strength of Materials.
Government awards
The Order of the Red Banner of Labour, the medal "For Labour Valour," the medal "For Valiant Labour. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V.I. Lenin." He also holds combat awards.
