Key facts of his career
In 1942 he was called up into the Red Army. After demobilization, in 1945, he returned to the Shipbuilding Faculty and graduated with honors. In 1951 he worked at the Central Design Bureau of the Ministry of the River Fleet (TsKB MRF). 1952-1925 — postgraduate studies. From 1955 he began working at GPI (Gorky Polytechnic Institute), first at the "Shipbuilding" department, then at the "Theory and Structural Mechanics of Ships" department. In 1962 he defended his candidate's dissertation. In 1970-1996 — at the "Shipbuilding" department; 2000-2004 — as professor of the "Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering" department.
Field of scientific work
Ice resistance of ships. In 1961 he took part in an Arctic expedition aboard the nuclear icebreaker "Lenin".
