Particularly important results, thoroughly tested in practice, came from work on the application of "Sprut"-type polyurethane adhesive compositions (developed by the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Kyiv), "Elast", "Styk 3-8Y", the epoxy-thiokol compound K-153, spray-applied polyurethane foam materials for thermal insulation of ship compartments, cast polyurethane foams for making lifesaving craft, application of inhibitors to the inner surfaces of ballast tanks by the flotation method, and the thermodynamic removal of defective paint coatings from ship surfaces. He holds 4 inventor's certificates and a patent for inventions. The thermodynamic cleaning method was most widely implemented on the ships of the Volga River Shipping Company. The confirmed economic effect in 1991 amounted to 320 thousand rubles.
He developed the theoretical foundations for the artificial breakdown of polymer coatings using a heated compressed-air jet under stationary and quasi-stationary heating, and on the basis of this research created technological equipment for removing defective paint coatings from wooden and metal surfaces. The thermodynamic method of removing defective paint coatings became the basis for research into recycling these coatings and for developing formulations of mastic ship coatings that would use, as filler, the previously removed and crushed defective polymer materials. He developed the theoretical and technological foundations for inhibiting ballast tanks by the flotation method and substantiated the advisability of using this painting method on ships as the most resource-saving one. Author of 35 scientific publications.
