Yevgeny Kurnikov is a section foreman at JSC Teploenergo in Nizhny Novgorod, convicted in 2026 in connection with the accident on the heating main on Pushkina Street that occurred in February 2025.
Criminal case
On September 22, 2026, the Sovetsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod handed down a verdict against three employees of JSC Teploenergo: section foreman Yevgeny Kurnikov and heating network maintenance fitters Aleksandr Kuvaldin and Yevgeny Koshcheyev. All three were found guilty in the case of the heating main accident that injured three residents of the Sovetsky District.[1]
The accident occurred on the evening of February 24, 2025, near building No. 11A on Pushkina Street. Through-wall damage developed in the underground pipeline, leading to an incident in which residents of the district were injured.[1]
