Egor Leontyevich Kaloshin (2 January 1928 – 29 December 2012) — Chairman of the Board of CJSC "Nizhegorodpromstroybank" until 2008.

Previous places of work

He worked in the village of Salgan until 1963 (rising from bookkeeper-instructor to manager of the Salgan branch of the State Bank of the USSR); 1963–1972 — manager of the Shatki, then Bor, branches of the USSR State Bank; 1972–1982 — deputy manager of the Gorky Regional Office of the USSR State Bank; in the following years he worked as manager of the regional office of the USSR Construction Bank, head of the regional directorate of the USSR Industrial Construction Bank, and head of the directorate of the state commercial Industrial Construction Bank for Nizhny Novgorod Region. From 1992 to the present — Chairman of the Board of CJSC "Nizhegorodpromstroybank".

Academic degrees, honorary titles, state awards

The Order "Friendship of Peoples", the medal "For Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945", the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" and other jubilee medals; awarded the honorary titles "Distinguished Worker of the USSR State Bank" (from 1992), "Honored Economist of the Russian Federation", and from 1997 — "Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod Region". For his great contribution to the establishment of Russian democracy and his creative and proactive participation in preparing the nationwide elections in 1996, he was awarded the Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation.

Membership in public, scientific and other organizations

Member of the Nizhny Novgorod Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs), member of the Council of the Nizhny Novgorod Currency and Stock Exchange.

Charity

Special attention is given to helping and protecting children. As part of his charitable activity he provides assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church. An important area of charitable assistance is: help to the disabled, veterans, and participants of wars and military actions. Among his sponsorship projects are support for sports programs, tournaments, competitions, and Olympiads, and projects to preserve and enhance the cultural heritage of Nizhny Novgorod Region. For his great financial support in restoring Russia's churches and cathedrals, he was awarded the Order of "St. Daniel of Moscow".
