Previous place of work
After graduating from the institute, he was assigned to the Sredne-Volzhskaya geological exploration expedition (Gorky). From 1974 he worked in the Gorky geological exploration party as a drilling foreman, drilling engineer, and head of a drilling crew. In 1976 he was transferred to the Lukoyanov geological prospecting party of the SVGRE as technical manager, where he rose from technical manager to head of the party. From 1987 to 1990 he was sent on a foreign assignment as part of a group of Soviet specialists to the Republic of Ghana, where he worked as a drilling foreman. After returning, he worked as chief engineer of the party, chief marketing specialist of VGGP "Volgageologiya", and chief engineer of the innovative geological center of a subsidiary unitary enterprise.
