The State Educational Institution of Secondary Vocational Education "Nizhny Novgorod Technological College" was founded on August 16, 1954; from its founding through 2002 it trained specialists in the part-time (evening) form of study on a state-funded basis; from 2002 to the present it trains specialists in both part-time (evening) and correspondence forms of study; since 2005 a full-time form of study has been open, with distance learning planned for the future.
