The pedestrian bridge in the Pochainsky Ravine is an infrastructure element of the terraced park being built in the Pochainsky Ravine in the historic center of Nizhny Novgorod. Construction of the bridge began in early July 2026 as part of a large-scale reconstruction of the ravine.

Construction

By early July 2026 the bridge's supports had been installed, and specialists were finishing welding the span structure. After the span was assembled, the next steps were to lay the road surface, install railings, and provide lighting; after that, work was planned to begin on landscaping the slope and installing small architectural forms.

The bridge is being built as part of a broader project — the terraced park in the Pochainsky Ravine. The contract for building the park was signed in October 2022, and work has been underway since late 2023. The original completion date for the whole facility — the end of 2025 — was not met: work was suspended pending approval of an additional agreement to municipal contract No. 68. As of late June 2026, the facility's technical readiness overall stood at 65%. November 2026 has been named as the new completion date, although the design documentation lists 2028 as the delivery date.

Funding

In March 2026, an additional 1.1 billion rubles was allocated for reconstructing the collector and reinforcing the ravine's slopes. That same year, total funding for building the terraced park amounted to 2.6 billion rubles.
