Novo-Sormovskoye Cemetery is an active municipal cemetery in the Sormovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. Several well-known Nizhny Novgorod residents are buried there, including athletes and educators of the Soviet era.

Notable burials

Buried at Novo-Sormovskoye Cemetery is Lyudmila Nikolaevna Shishova — a Soviet fencer, Olympic champion, and Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod Region. Also buried here is Nina Pavlovna Bakusheva (1930–2001) — a teacher at School No. 82 in the Sormovsky District and a Hero of Socialist Labour. In her later years she worked as a methodologist at the same school, retiring in 1998; she died on 10 August 2001.
