Khlibko (disambiguation) Nikolai Selivestrovich, November 28, 1919 — November 17, 1993 — Soviet theater actor and teacher.


Biography

Honored Artist of the RSFSR.

Participant in the The Great Patriotic War.

Born November 28, 1919 in Tashkent.

1938—1946 — student at the Leningrad Theater Institute. While he was studying at the institute, the The Great Patriotic War began. In his 3rd year he volunteered to fight in a people's militia division. A fascist bullet passed straight through his right lung, and he miraculously survived. When the war ended he returned to the institute and completed his interrupted studies.

He received an invitation from Arkady Raikin, under whose direction he worked for 3 years at the Leningrad State Theater of Miniatures (now the A. I. Raikin Variety Theater).

In 1956—1958 — actor at the Tashkent Russian Drama Theater.

In 1962—1990 — actor at the Theater Square. The Nizhny Novgorod public loved Nikolai Khlibko dearly, and performances with him always played to full houses.

He was the artistic director of the drama ensemble of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute. He taught at the Gorky Theater College. His students affectionately called Nikolai Khlibko "Uncle Kolya." Among Nikolai Khlibko's students were such well-known actors as Alexander Pankratov-Chyorny, Igor Ledogorov, Yulian Kalisher, Irina Mazurkevich, and others.

An actor gets a thick notebook with the text of a future character and is pleased: there's room to test his strength! But two or three typewritten pages usually inspire no enthusiasm. What draws me is not the size of a role, but the dramatic material laid into it. »

He died on November 17, 1993 in Nizhny Novgorod of a stroke.


Family

Wife: Khlibko Aelita Antonovna (August 25, 1925 — February 5, 2015), Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, formerly a teacher of German.

Sons: Vladimir and Sergei.

Grandchildren: Khlibko Elena Vladimirovna and Vladislav Khlibko.
