Levin Igor Leonidovich (born May 1, 1968) is a candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, associate professor of the department of drawing and painting at the Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (painting section). Member of the International Federation of Artists (painting section). Member of the Russian Union of Professional Writers.
Education
He studied at the department of easel painting of the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute, and in 1996 graduated from the art and graphics department of the Kostroma State Pedagogical University, qualification: "teacher of drawing and technical drawing."
His dissertation, "Forming the creative personality of a schoolchild through the development of artistic interests in classes with in-depth study of fine art," was defended in 2003; his academic advisor was corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education, full member of the International Pedagogical Academy, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor E.G. Osovsky. He is a follower of the scholarly school of creative (heuristic) and personality-centered education (G.S. Altshuller, V.I. Andreev, S.I. Gessen, E.G. Osovsky, A.I. Savenkov, A.V. Khutorskoy, and others).

He has published 32 scholarly works — articles and abstracts of papers presented at international, all-Russian, and regional scholarly and practical conferences. He is the author of 6 teaching and methodological materials on the topics: "Applying theoretical knowledge of plastic anatomy in figure drawing," "Methodology for completing assignments in formal composition in accordance with the curriculum for 'Drawing' (year 1)," "Methodology for drawing a graphic portrait from life" (a teaching and methodological guide), "The sketch: concept, typology, technique and method of sketching from life," "Transformation of a still-life image by the methods of analytical and synthetic cubism," "Practical training in the painting and drawing of landscape." A practice-oriented monograph, "Constructing color schemes based on the regularities of musical harmony: an introduction to the theory of color harmony," has been fully prepared for publication and reviewed.
He has taken part in all-Russian, regional, oblast, and city professional art exhibitions of paintings, and has held more than 30 solo art exhibitions in museums and in cultural, government, educational, and financial institutions. He is a member of "Sreda Poeta" ("The Poet's Milieu"), a literary association of Nizhny Novgorod poets, and the author of four collections of poetry — "A Flower in the Window" (1998), "The Sun, Bitten" (2000), "Revelation from Me" (2006), and "The Number of Changes" (2008).
