Field of scientific interests

For a long time he has worked on increasing the durability of metal structures under various operating conditions (low, room, and elevated temperatures, corrosive environments) and reducing their metal consumption, as well as on resource-saving technologies and the safety of industrial equipment. Head of the Laboratory of Operational Reliability of Structural Materials at NSTU, established to conduct research and development work in close contact with various organizations and enterprises and to introduce the results of modern scientific and technical developments into ongoing production. Holds 3 inventions protected by inventor's certificates and a patent, all of the inventions implemented at enterprises of the Nizhny Novgorod Region — OJSC "GAZ," OJSC "Pavlovsky Bus," "Teploobmennik" Production Association, GAPO named after S. Ordzhonikidze, and others. Author of more than 360 published scientific and instructional-methodological works, including 2 books and 6 textbooks, 4 of which carry the seal of approval of the Educational and Methodological Association of Russian higher education institutions.
