Ignatyeva Galina Alexandrovna (born April 12, 1954) is a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences. Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Andragogy of Technologies at the state institution GOU DPO "Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Education Development".

Education

Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography at the Pedagogical University named after A.M. Gorky (1977), teacher of geography and biology. Postgraduate studies at the Moscow Pedagogical State Institute named after V.I. Lenin (1996).

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, "Distinguished Worker of Public Education." Order of the "Badge of Labour Glory," 3rd class, and a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (1998), a grant awarded as winner of the "Pedagogy" competition with the support of the Russian Foundation for the Humanities.

Member of the Academic Council of GOU DPO NIRO, chair of the NMES (Scientific and Methodological Expert Council) of DPO NIRO, member of the OES (Regional Expert Council) of the Department of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Member of MARO (International Association for Developmental Education), member of the editorial council of the scientific journal "Psychology of Education" (Moscow). A follower of the ideas of the scientific schools of V.V. Davydov, D.B. Elkonin and V.I. Slobodchikov.

Dissertations

In 1996 she defended her candidate's dissertation at the Moscow Pedagogical State University named after V.I. Lenin on the topic "Technology for forming learning activity in the process of teaching the unified course 'Geography of Russia'," and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences in the specialty "theory and methods of teaching geography." In 2006 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic "Designing the activity-based content of a teacher's professional development in the system of postgraduate education" at the state institution GOU VPO "Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University" in the specialty "theory and methods of professional education."
