The GAZ-3309 is a diesel version of the medium-duty truck GAZ-3307, produced by the Gorky Automobile Plant from late 1994.[1][2] It belongs to the fourth generation of Gorky medium-tonnage trucks.
Difference
Compared to the base vehicle, the GAZ-3309 differs primarily in its powertrain: instead of a gasoline V8, diesel engines were installed, including turbodiesel versions.[1][2] For fleet operators this meant noticeably lower fuel consumption on the same routes — an argument that proved decisive in the nineties.
