Fuchik Street is a street in the Avtozavodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod, located in the Zarechnaya part of the city (the area across the Oka River). It runs parallel to Vedenyapin Street.[2]
Location and Buildings
The street has extensive house numbering: from building 1 to building 130B, including numerous sub-buildings and letter designations. Among the nearest streets are Avtomekhanicheskaya, Hero Smirnov Street, Prygunov Street, Yuzhnoye Highway, Starykh Proizvodstvennikov Street, Leskov Street, and others.[2]
Transportation Significance
Fuchik Street is one of the significant transportation arteries of the Avtozavodsky District. According to the project for the bypass of Gagarin Avenue — a major highway under construction since 2024 — the route will run from Larina Street in the Prioksky District across the Oka River to Fuchik Street; the total length of the phases under construction is 12.5–12.8 km. Originally, the construction plan called for four phases: the road was to be built from Academician Sakharov Street to Fuchik Street.[2] Thus, Fuchik Street serves as one of the key terminal landmarks of the new highway, which is intended to connect the Prioksky and Avtozavodsky Districts.
