Mitenkov Fyodor Mikhailovich (born November 25, 1924) — Hero of Socialist Labor, general designer, scientific director of the OKBM named after I.I. Afrikantov, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, honorary member of the European Nuclear Society, laureate of the Lenin Prize and State Prizes. Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation. Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor. Was elected deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, and of the Gorky Regional Council of People's Deputies for several convocations.
Education
All-Union Correspondence Institute of Law (Saratov), 1948; Faculty of Physics of Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky, 1950. Since 1950 has worked at OKBM — head of department, deputy head of OKBM and chief designer, director of OKBM and general designer.

Initiator and one of the founders and leading lecturers (professor since 1968) of the Physics and Technology Faculty of Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev. Under Mitenkov's scientific supervision, 14 doctoral and 55 candidate dissertations have been defended.
