Main facts of his career
From 1949 — at the Gorky Polytechnic Institute, head of the Department of Radio Engineering, and from 1952 head of the Department of Radio Receiving Devices. At the same time, in 1955, he was dean of the Faculty of Radio Engineering. An outstanding scientist, author of many fundamental works on theoretical radio engineering. He trained, mainly through postgraduate study, 55 candidates of science, 30 of them faculty members. 14 of his students defended doctoral dissertations. He made the greatest contribution to the establishment and development of the faculty. He created the Nizhny Novgorod scientific school in the field of improving the noise immunity and efficiency of radio-electronic systems and devices.
Co-author of two scientific monographs: (Ageev D. V. and Rodionov Ya. G.) "FM Radio Reception with Tracking Tuning" and (Ageev D. V. and Zelmanov S. S.) "Fundamentals of Resonance Theory in Linear Systems", author of a series of elective lectures totaling 360 hours for radio engineers. He was a member of the editorial board of the journal "Proceedings of Higher Education Institutions — Radioelectronics", editor-in-chief of thematic collections of works of the Faculty of Radio Engineering, a member of the public editorial council of the "Sovetskoye Radio" ("Soviet Radio") publishing house, and a member of two specialized academic councils for the conferral of academic degrees.
Awards
Order of the Red Banner of Labour, the medal "For Valiant Labour", the title "Honored Radio Operator of the USSR". He was elected chairman of the Gorky regional board of the A. S. Popov Scientific and Technical Society of Radio Engineering and Electrical Communications (NTO RES).
