JSC "Central Research Institute 'Burevestnik'" (TsNII "Burevestnik") is a Nizhny Novgorod research and development enterprise within the defense-industrial complex, specializing in the manufacture of weapons and ammunition. It is located at Sormovskoe Highway, building 1A. The institute operates as a non-public joint-stock company and was registered on April 30, 2008, through conversion from a federal state unitary enterprise of the same name.[1]

Activities

The primary line of business is the manufacture of weapons and ammunition (OKVED code 25.4); in addition, the enterprise carries out 19 further lines of activity.[1] The institute is the legal successor to the federal state unitary enterprise of the same name and retains the research-and-development profile inherited from its predecessor. The shareholder register is maintained by JSC "RT-Registrar." The authorized capital is approximately 2 billion rubles.[1]

The enterprise holds 15 licenses and 4 registered trademarks, as well as one branch office.[1] Within the state procurement system, 4,892 contracts have been concluded for a total of approximately 23.6 billion rubles.[1]

Since July 13, 2022, the institute's Director General has been Kovalev Pavel Anatolevich.[1]
