The Bytovik Garage Cooperative was an organization in the Sormovo District of Nizhny Novgorod, registered on April 9, 2001, and dissolved in 2026 as a result of the demolition of its territory to make way for the construction of a new Metro station.[2] It was located near Kominterna Street (coordinates: 56°20'43" N, 43°52'21" E).[5]

Activities and registration details

The cooperative's main line of business was the operation of vehicle parking facilities (OKVED 52.21.24).[2] It was originally registered by the Nizhny Novgorod Registration Chamber; the state registration number (OGRN) 1065263036288 was assigned on August 9, 2006, by Interdistrict Tax Inspectorate No. 15 for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and the taxpayer number (INN) is 5263034094.[3] From March 31, 2020, the cooperative's chairman was Alexander Andreevich Davydov.[2] The organization's assets at the end of 2025 amounted to 210 thousand rubles; no revenue or net profit figures were reflected in its financial statements.[4]

Demolition and liquidation

In August 2026, demolition of buildings began on Stantsionnaya Street in the Sormovo District, clearing the site for the construction of a new metro station near the railway platform. Seven garage cooperatives were slated for demolition, including Bytovik, "Varya," "Levinka-2," "25-Sormovo," as well as the cooperatives on Stantsionnaya Street, Kalashnikov Street (No. 3), and Iznoskov Street (No. 14).[1] The contract for the extension of the Sormovo metro line, valued at 19.4 billion rubles, was signed in August 2022; by July 2026, more than 85% of the plots in the work zone had passed into municipal ownership, with 627 of 726 properties acquired.[1] The general contractor is the Mostproekt-3 group of companies.[1]

The registration authority decided to strike the legal entity from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (EGRYuL) as of July 1, 2026; by September 2026, the organization was listed as inactive.[2][3]
