The building of the Ardatov District Zemstvo Administration is a regional-significance architectural monument built in 1897 in the urban-type settlement of Ardatov, Nizhny Novgorod Region, located at 28 30 Let VLKSM Street. The building's area is 3,723 square meters.[1][2]
History
Before the revolution, the building housed the Ardatov District Zemstvo Administration, which gave it its name. After the revolution, it was occupied by Soviet executive authorities. In subsequent years, the building was used as one of the teaching buildings of the Ardatov Agrarian Technical College.[1][2]
Sale at auction
In September 2026, the state-owned enterprise "Regnedvizhimost" announced an auction for the sale of the building. The starting price of the property was 19.3 million rubles.[1][2] The auction was announced by Yegor Polyakov, Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The new owner is expected to adapt the monument for modern use — in particular, as a restaurant, a hotel, or for other commercial purposes — while mandatorily preserving the protected elements.[1][2]
