Gordeev Boris Aleksandrovich (born August 3, 1941) — head of the "Vibration Protection of Machines" laboratory at the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the A.A. Research and development of active systems for damping vibration and noise in mobile machines and stationary energy-intensive facilities, research and development of wave-based methods and devices for contactless measurement of motion parameters. He is developing a scientific direction — adaptive vibration-damping systems based on magnetorheological processes in inhomogeneous magnetic fields.

Some of these inventions have been implemented at enterprises in the automotive industry, on railway transport, on water transport, in space technology, and in the defense sector. Author of 130 published scientific works, including 2 monographs and 4 textbooks. Under Boris A. Gordeev's scientific supervision, 3 candidate dissertations have been defended. Full member of the International Academy of Authors of Scientific Discoveries and Inventions.
