Key facts of his career
He worked in the Urals. While serving as head of the central factory laboratory (TsZL) of the Uralmash Plant in the city of Sverdlovsk, he prepared and defended a doctoral dissertation on improving the quality of steel castings. In 1952 he moved to work at the Gorky Polytechnic Institute as head of the "Foundry Production" department. He established working ties with many factories and institutions in the city and other regions on foundry-production issues. He carried out extensive work training scientific personnel and organizing the department's teaching and laboratory facilities. He was the founder of a scientific school in the field of foundry and metallurgical processes in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Author of 10 books, more than 300 scientific publications, and 40 inventions. Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR, awarded the Order of Lenin. He supervised more than 60 candidates of science and consulted on 3 doctoral dissertations.
