What Kind of Company It Was

"RIAN-Nizhny" belonged to the first wave of Nizhny Novgorod firms trading in office equipment: the company was registered in autumn 1993, a year before Karaulov took it over [1][2].

By the late 1990s the business had grown to the point where the company became an official representative of its supplier and received top-tier dealer status from it based on results for the year 2000 [1].

The company had no liquidation commission: the register records only the start of the reorganization, the successor entity, and the cessation of operations [2].
