A new fact from a link
The encyclopedia grows through links, not through hand-edited text. You bring a publication — the editors check it, take the facts and write them into the article with a footnote to the source. The publication itself goes to the web archive: the copy stays available even if the outlet’s site disappears. Not sure which article it belongs to? Just give the link — the editors will work out the subject from the publication itself, and if there is no article about it yet, they will propose starting one.

What happens next: the editors add the facts from the publication to the article, and your name stands next to the source you brought. If the publication turns out not to be about this subject, it will not go into the article.
